regler connection

I am restoring a bmwR26 and i bought a new regler from ebay.
I want to connect it but my knowledge at electrics is not so good

the regler came with this plan :

How to connect 1,2,3?
help

Hi fidel,

There's no need to connect anything to the points marked 1,2, and 3 in your diagram. This is all inside your generator housing and you will just have to locate the cables running from the generator to your new electronic regulator ('Regler').

At point (1, *), you'll need to locate the resistor (R) and insulate it from the ground. This is most likely the yellow cable in the upper left (top) corner of the generator housing. Please refer to the lower (written) part of the instructions supplied by the manufacturer of the regulator.
