Hello All, I have just joined the Forum. I live in the English town of Market Weighton, 25 miles east of York.  I have ridden older BMWs for many years but now hoping to buy an R26 or R27.
Be good to make contact with other owners of these motorcycles here in the UK.
Cheers, Dave

Hello, I'm Charlie in London. I've also been riding /6, /7 and RT twins for years. Now with an R 35 and 60/2.

What have you been riding?

Sounds very similar : 60/6, 75/7, 80RT x4, 75/7 + trials sidecar. Those twins are too big and heavy for me now and I've never been keen on speed (except round the bends), so a 50/2 is fine and a 35 because I was a despatch rider but the spares will be easier for a post-war bike.
Have you tried the VBMWOA (vintage BM owners America)? Plenty of life there, whereas in the UK the vintage BM scene is quiet.

I agree about the British vintage BMW scene, even within the BMW Club there seems to be very little interest to offer much for pre-1969 machine owners.
