Hi Oldtimers/Scottish tourists

You can't believe what the weather forecasts tell you as the weather pattern can change quite quickly and can be localised. So it could be wet in the South and Dry in the North and change again during the day but hopefully it will be dry for your stay on the 'Misty Isle'.
Do leave some room for the products of the Isle of Skye Brewing Company http://www.skyebrewery.co.uk/products.php who recently had success with 'Young Pretender' - CAMRA CHAMPION BITTER OF SCOTLAND 2013. CAMRA being the UK based Campaign For Real Ale - www.camra.org.uk

welcome to our BMW-site. Looks good, your project. But have a look at the rear mudguard. It seems to belong to a R25/2 or R25, because the space between mudguard's end and the wheel ist too large.

Not wanting to disappoint you, but the beer can you are proudly showing in the picture above is not from the Isle of Skye Brewing Company but rather some strange ale (oil?) by the name "WD-40".

Hello Einzylinders

A valid point Taz and Jörg regarding my rear mudguard - thanks. In the arriving home photo the mudguard is not attached to the frame, not at the downtube, nor are the stays bolted to the top of the plunger mounts. Also the guides for the rear wheel removal swinging up third of the mudguard are not fully located in the front part. A bit of work is needed to make fit it properly  I am hoping it is the right component (?) I'll take photos and measure it before coming to Skye to compare with the functioning R25/3's.

BenW - WD40 is used here to lubricate the right arm allowing easy movement of beer to mouth

Nae worries...my daughter and I have always been the favourite tucker for them wee beasties...and my daughter is allergetic to the local insect repellants, so we will just have to hope that there will be some wind all the time (means neither rain nor midges ).
