Reading about the sausage song, and also Mr Sausage, I must point out that in the last Century, 1990's I was actually Mr Sausage for the British Butchers Society. In those days I performed upon stilts, all over the World, and in this case at Earls Court Expo Centre in London. 11 feet tall in pink tail coat and striped trousers

Sausage is in English, a 'funny word', also Banana, Umbrella. I suppose in German, Frau Windbeutel, who I remember from my days in the Konditorei in Monchengladbach.

There is a British Sausage week promoting sausage with all sorts of fillings!! Some even contain meat!! We think.

There is a Sausage Song written by Clown Boko in the 1930's. A Clown at Clacton Pier.
"I love a sausage
A jolly jolly sausage
I love a sausage for my tea
I went into the cellar
To get my Umbrella
And the sausage came after me."

So we have 2 funny words in that ditty.

Only last week we were writing about 'a German Joke is no laughing matter'.
Some of the jokes this week have got to be,
The 'Wurst' I have ever heard.
