I just noticed a stamped mark, looks like an "x" or a "+", that's above and between the oil fill hole and slotted access hole to the cam followers. Any idea what the mark means?

Hi Kurt, I never saw or heard of such a mark before, I suppose this is a very individual remain of your bike's Story.

Hi Kurt,

a workshop owner told me some time ago, that he use a metal stamp to sign parts, which have been refurbished by himself. Meanwhile I have seen a lot of signs and use one by myself.

Hopefully this will show the mark...hard to force the camera to focus like I wanted.
