frame numbers

On a R25/3 1955 ,except from the typenschild and the engine does anybody knows if there are  identification numbers on the frame?
And if yes, where?

guess not - last numbers on frames were marked on R 25/2

please have a look in 'Betriebshandbuch'
where you find the exact locations - and for the /3 there are 2 numbers only
on the engine and and the 'typenschild'

my r 25/2 shows the number on frame, may be the owners of /3 models assist?

Hi, on my early R25/3 the frame number is on the right side of the headset. In some cases there ist too much colour above.

@All:

Every motorbike (and every car also) has the framenumber on its frame! At the R 24 untill the R 25/2 the framenumber is written on the right side of the rear end of the frame! Look at Baureihe > R 24 oder R 25 > Betriebshandbuch
At R 25/3 and R 26/27 the frame number is on the right side nearby the identification number plate on the headset!!! Maybe there is to much colour on it or somebody grinded it away! Look also at Baureihe > and so on

Look on the picture, it is an R 27 frame.
