I have just got new brake-material for the brake shoes on a R67/2 ´53.
The R67 have a ´halbnabe duplex´  and the new material is 4 mm wide as it should be according to the instruction manual.

My problem is now that i can´t get it fit in the halbnabe again. Is the 4 mm to much or??

Hi Korremann,

the brake covering for the calipers ("shoes") should fit - not affected by their
outer diameter or width.
I would mount them on the shoes using ilets or special glue (or both)
and clamp the brake into a slowly running lathe.
So the final diameter can be done easily if they are
too big. They will get ideally round to fit the brake drum.
Don´t forget to slope the ends !

Best Regards
