Santorini -> Basel

A friend from Switzerland set off today from Santorini to Basel on his Honda CG125. He's riding from Athens to Patra and then taking the ferry from Patra to Venice. He's going to have to cross over the Alps to get to Basel.
The weather in Santorini is fine warm and sunny, I told him the weather will be the same in the Alps this time of year  Is that correct?
