Hi, here i go again

more questions on this Little machine,

this time is the way the "lichtmaschine" (or generator) is connected, and my suspicion that is not correct, and thus that the battery is not being charged

i have been unable to find the electric diagram of the R2, i do have those for the R26 and R27 (see attached) but i can not recognise some elements that are present in these two machines, so my first request is if someone has the electric wiring diagram of the R2, please

so while we wait for the electric diagram to pop up i will show you the question on how the generator is connected,

the fact is that i can see two cables comming out from the generator, and one of the lead points has no cable attached

can you identify these cables and leads ?

see the photo:

if i am not mistaken, you can see a yellow terminal connected to the body of the generator, this is going to the negative of the battery

you can see also a pair of connection leads in the generator:
-the top one (next to a sign "61" in the generator body) is connected to a cable that i recall goes to the positive of the battery
-the lower one has no cable connected there
???
is this correct ?
am i missing something ?
thank you

This yellow-isolated cable is connected to ground, so far as i can see.
If your bike has Bat-negativ on ground all will be ok. Check this.

The two other terminals should have a identifier as a stamp.
ok, the top one has 61 : this is the + brush it should connected to regulator (or lamp) 61 or D+
the lowe one can be DF ... ?

What kind of generator is there ? .... seems to be a DC-Gen. Look for the regulator.
The plans used for R24...R27 you can't use in connection with their generators, they have a newer construction.

You should look for right and true informations for your system !
cable colour can change by every owner, because anyone looks for cheap solutions,
so no professional worker has a chance to do right works, .... sorry, must be.

Again a difficult one :^).
There is a list of electrical parts for the old Bosch parts, where the R2 is mentioned

I wasn't lucky with an associated google search, except for this diagram:
http://www.planet-l.com/bosch-schaltplan.html
But it doesn't refer explicitly to the R2 and the regulator is hidden within the generator.
The R2 owner's munual on page 22 has a photograph and I assume the regulator to be the coily thingy below the brushes.
Not much help there, sorry.
Anyway, can you manage some measurements like voltage across the genarator at different revs, even open the connection to the battery and check the current, if there is any etc.?
Cheers
D.

Gott fragte die Steine: "Wollt ihr Starrrahmenfahrer werden?"
Verängstigt antworteten die Steine:"Nein, dafür sind wir nicht hart genug."

vielen danke, mekgyver, dappsull, tino,

very useful documents, i will read them carefully,

i have been unable to test the electrics properly so far
because the first step is to have a running engine,
i will also install an ammeter to check battery charge and discharge

i will report the advances

MFG
