Road Map of Germany

I have been asked by someone, who plans to visit Germany in the summer, if anyone can recommend a road map, just to cover what was 'The West', that could be bought over the internet.

But the request is, it must list the number, post code, zip code ?, for each town and area.

Not sure why this is required.

An up to date GPS would be a good asset if they are travelling by road. Over all the years I've been visiting I used Michelin series maps obtainable at all good booksellers, such as W. H. Smith and Waterstones.

In addition to Will`s hint - if you use an GPS-System produced by GARMIN check the maps which are offered from OPENSTREETMAP.
I´ve used them in France, Spain and Italy!

Just stop at he first filling station when you get here. You can get such maps there.

I do not use anything else! They are great - and free!
