Okay, Nachtrag

Was mir aufgefallen ist:

Karl

Moin Karl,

@ Heiko:

>also, das helle Grau ist grausam

Ja, da geb' ich dir recht! Grausam!

http://www.bmw-einzylinder.de/forum/index.php?action=unread;all

Hi Karl
since a few days, perhaps after the upgrade, most messages have a slider bar on the side.
Very nice thought these frames, but messages are now only two or so lines deep and to read everything one is forced to used that slider.
Is that also an enhancement/new feature  ???

Ser

sjeuf12

Karl,
can't edit the above text for some unknown reason; small modification/addition:

only some messages have these slider-bars
Your subject with the new version info for instance is fully shown.
Heiko's april first thing showed only half of the txt april. The lower half could be seen whith the slide in lower position

Also there is a noticable difference between Netscape (my prefered) and IE6 (the virus from uncle Bill)
Netscape shows slide-bars almost always and IE shows them rarely.
Will try Firefox and see what that has to offer

Ser

sjeuf12

Karl,
firefox works ok; no slide-bars

Must be a Netscape only issue.
Will check cookie status etc and come back with info.

Ser

ps
message can be edited now. Edit issue must also be a Netscape only item...

sjeuf12

Karl,
clearing Netscape cookies and cache didn't solve anything.
Clearing login and password in Netscape login-cache made things worst
Some messages couldn't be read at all; only one line shown
Loging back in gave view as before (with slide bars)

Ser

Karl

Hello Ser,

uh, that seems to be an interesting problem ... I really don't have any idea what could be the reason for it.

I am using this forum on IE6 and FireFox 1.0.2d and everything is running quite well.

Have you tested this forum with IE? If it's running there, it must be a netscape problem ...

Please keep me informed about this problem.

Kind regards,
Karl

sjeuf12

Karl,
must be a Netscape issue
IE and Firefox working fine as far as I can see.
Also have Opera here somewhere will try that this evening.

Netscape issue started at the moment of upgrade.
Have added a screenshot with example from thread 'probelauf'

Heiko doesn't seem to say very much there...you must use the slider to see the rest

Karl

Hello Ser,

I will check the settings; maybe there's an option somewhere for "Scrollbars"; but I think it's a problem of Netscape ... :-/

Addition:

I made a test and opened the same thread in several browsers to check if there's a difference in displaying the pages.

Well - look here:

Internet Explorer 6

Firefox 1.0.2d

Netscape 7

You see - it's a but (or a feature?) in Netscape 7 ...

Karl,
Opera 7 works just fine also
Only in Opera you get a bottom scroll-bar if your txt or picture is wider then the screen.
Haven't seen that before either.
If need be I can get a screenprint but then I would have to chase the boss (my wife) from the other pc.

Hi Karl,
