Think outside the box !

Hi Peder,
why not just checking it against the height of your fire ring (taking approx. 0.8 mm for the head gasket in account)?

why nor clean it a bit ;^) - will gain quite some spacing

Hi.

That's a common question.

The easiest way to find out about enough room there ... clean thoroughly, make sure that the head can be put on the cylinder and be turned freely there (like on a pivot)...if the gasket areas of head and cylinder are connecting then all's well, if not, measure and if you don't want to mill down the collar (fire ring) maybe a thicker head gasket will do the trick ...

Kind regards, Taz

I try to put som chalk (klay) (kridt) on the fire ring to make it possible to see if it touch the cylinder head. No marks, as i can messure i have 0.3 m/m clearence before fitting the gasket I think it´s all right.
