I saw a post on another forum where the person had a 1948 R35...he was wondering what the color should be.  I figured black, but were other colors offered at the time?  I'm not that knowledgeable on these models plus there's the issue of BMW/EMW and who was doing the production.  If it was after WWII, does that mean that BMW did not produce it?

Thanks...Kurt

Hello,
It's been a while but did you get any answers?

Sorry, I don't think I did.  Not even sure in what context I asked the question.  That was quite a while ago.

I just read Andy Schwietzer's book, 'Eisernes aus Eisenach', all about the R 35 and he said they were all black, except for military ones in green or dark blue with no lines and a few export ones, whose importers could insist on their own specifications, such as Finland and Belgium. So they could be in red/brown or light grey and Sweden, which had some with chromed tanks and rims. There's a military one on ebay.co.uk at the moment.
