As the Brexit seems to be really happening and until now nobody knows for sure what will happen afterwards re. merchandise back and forth across the channel...my daugther will travel to Northern England in mid-March and has offered to bring (and locally mail) bike-parts with her...

I would order the stuff at my favourite dealer by end of February and hand them over to her...so in case any of you would need parts like gaskets, bearings and any other smaller items please let me know accordingly via PM, I will take of it then.

Radio Eriwan calling...basically yes, but as she will be in Northern England and not in Scotland she might be able to just get the bottles from the supermarket shelfs...and that usually is the same stuff you can buy here...at a higher price compared to around here, mostly. Bringing whisky to the continent usually only pays if you can get hold of the distillery specials they are only offering for sale on site...and that won't be part of her travel itinerary, I am afraid.

He was one of a kind when it came to English for runaways (Fortgeschrittene)...unrivalled his "you go me intelligently on the alarm clock!" (see below) and other gems of translation...not sure that we would need this kind of genius in a country where you can put your handy into your body bag, then go to attend a public viewing hoping for the best time of your life, anyway  .
