New to this forum, but very familiar with Old Beemers

My name is Colin Anderson, and I live on the Indonesian Island of Bali. I own a BMW R 25/3 with a Steib LS 200 sidecar , mounted on the left. I originally bought the outfit from an ex Indonesian Policeman who had bought it from the government. I found the bike in a rice field and it was in terrible condition - including a papaya tree growing through the floor of the sidecar. 18 months and seven thousand euro's later, I had a 95% restored bike(the hand controls, switches and cables are not original) I then installed an MZ-b alternator and electronic ignition (VERY reliable) and have just replaced the very worn out old bing 22 mm carb with a 22 mm Keihin ( only a temporary measure until a Blitz arrives. There are a few expats, where I live, who also own BMW's (R 25/3, R26 & R 27) and we have formed a group called Beeemer Owners Of Bali (BOOB). If any forum members come to Bali, please contact us.
