Hello everyone and thank you very much for the great forum! 3 weeks ago I have become a happy owner of an R26 in use condition :-) It is the gear for the sidecar and I wonder if a Danish Bender Florin (copy of Steib S350?) Can fit R26? 2
meters long and 90 centimeters wide without fittings. Thank you in advance for your reply. With best regards Øystein
Welcome!
do you really have a 26/5 sidecar gear?
Control it by turning and count.
A Bender would fit.....but he is a little bit to big
Again a welcome ;D

Good evening, Rolf
Thank you so much for the info! I'll try and investigate tomorrow.
My R26 was fitted with a sidecar as it came to Norway in 1973 and it worked for me to be low gear in 1 gear...
:-)
And your tips about the Danish Bender was very helpfull!
I think i search for another.

Hi Rainer
Thanks for the tips and nice pictures! Carriage so fitting out, nice roads in Scotland and left hand driving! Tough trip!
I think your sidecar will fit good mye R26
I have lift upp my R26 this night and try to count my gear...Everybody drive carfull and nice sunday! From cold Norway...
Hi
After my nocturnal attempts and counting my gear resolution, I found the following rotations 6 to 31 on the shaft.
It was not that easy and perform when I did not have the main support but I bought a long-awaited chain hoist and lifted the bike from the floor.
I think I got 5 wheels and 26 axles .... what can this indicate? Is
my beloved R26 sidecar geared?
Hope someone has time and knowledge and sacrifice this :-)
With best regards
Øystein
