R26 in Biggar, Saskatchewan, Canada

Hello all. I just returned from our annual Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group (CVMG) motorcycle rally. The rally is attended by CVMG members from across western Canada and we, the Saskatchewan section, host it at a small campground in Biggar, Saskatchewan. Biggar is about 100 km west of Saskatoon in the heart of canola (raps in the EU) country. As part of our weekend activities many of us take part in a ride to an even smaller town called Ruthilda with a reported population of 6. We meet at the local bar/hotel for lunch and then head back to the campground at Biggar. Round trip is just over 100 km. This year I decided to take my '58 R26 to the rally and partake in the ride. Well, I am happy to report that with a blistering top speed of just over 50 mph I made it there and back! See image below (the field behind me is a canola (raps) field just finishing flowering).

If it weren't for the fact that we had a very nice gathering ourselves today (at Kathi's, we being Veit and his girlfriend, Robin and myself) I would really have to envy you... 

But now...sounds like a very nice event you had there, good friends, brilliant weather, a breath-taking landscape and a endless supply of country roads...heaven is a place on earth!
