Dealer Fr.Voos, Solingen 1956
Seeking  advice. I hold the position in the BMW Club UK&I as DVLA Dating Officer.

It is not fixing 'romantic meetings' for our members, but assisting them with the documentation in getting their BMW back on the road. Maybe a private purchase, import from South Africa, or my Father's old BMW.  The range I have covered in the last 2 years has been from 1924 – 1990's

A member has now a 1956 R50, that was delivered to the dealer  Fr.Voos, in Solingen. It went to Holland in 1960 and was then registered there, now to England

The Driving Vehicle Licensing Authority  in the UK cover all motor transport .

What is the German equivalent?

The owner has some information on when the R50 was sold / registered, but is trying to see if anything else may be on file?
Anyone know?

Hi Robert,
I think the german equvalent to the Driving Vehicle Licensing Authority is called Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA).
Maybe the first dealer Fr. Voos, Solingen, turned to Friedrich Voos jr. GmbH & Co. KG, Wuppertaler Str. 125, 42653 Solingen.

I found Dealer Voos in Soligen listed on the Web, sent emails to 2 addresses for this company but both came back, not known.so perhaps they have been taken over, changed name, or closed

Yes, they are ... by "Procar Automobile GmbH" (Manor Automotive Group).
No family managed shop anymore.
