Hi Everyone,

I am looking for a cross joint, u-joint for a r25/3.
Local car shops don't have them  :kopfhau:

Looking for a new 17 x 41mm or 17 x 42mm joint...well it could be used if it is like new with no play!  :traurig:

If you know a brand that sells them, let me know.
I can ask local shop to order them if i had a brand!

Kind regards
G

Dear Goahead,
there are several german dealers avaliable.
e.g. Uli's Motorradladen, Rabenbauer, Stemler, Omega-Oldtimer, ...
they all have this u-joint and are able to send worldwide.
In german it`s called Kardangelenk, or Kreuzgelenk.
Hope it helps,
regards, mek  :bike:

Thank you Mek.

Yes i know all those shops, but u-joint is to expensive. 60 euro peace when usually it should cost only 20euros.
I see in other topics that ELBE sells a 17x41mm but has snap rings to lock caps, instead of soldering.

I saw somewhere (i don't remember link) that it can be fitted by soldering a washer in 4 cardan shaft holes, so it can old that snap ring.

Do you have a weblink/picture for such type of assembly...or maybe that 17x41mm cross joint can still be soldered in place, since the original one has 17x42mm..a 0,5mm deeper each side!

Kind regards

Is this doable using the 17x41mm cross joint?
I could use a washer, and then sliprings would fit.... :schrauber:

Kind regards
G.
