I remember seeing a dimensioned drawing to cut a steel plate for attaching to the R26 engine for benchtop repair work.
After several search attempts I have not found it and would appreciate any help to point me in the correct direction.

The specific tool you remember is called "V5017 - Aufnahme f. Getriebe - R24 / 25 / 51", also to be found on that page.
If you would need DXF-files to have it laser-cut at a shop close to you please send me a PM with your email address, I will send them to you then (had a number of these tools made in late 2019).

I will attempt to build my own stand but if it get too frustrated I will contact you for the dxf. file.
