Hi,

My r25/0 was standing outside today, when it suddenly began raining. Afterwards I noticed some drops of water inside the tacho, behind the glass. This is of course not good. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

Hi krhoff

To get rid of the water drops try warmth.

To stop water getting in again smear some grease around the edge of the bezel to glass join.

Otherwise a strip down and replacement of the glass seal may be required.

I'm not sure if theses suffer from condensation.

I hope this helps

Thanks for your reply, Brian.

I took the bike out for a ride after the rain had stopped. The water quickly evaporated, leaving only a little dew on the inside of the glass. Once it gets completely dry, I will try to make a temporary fix using grease as suggested.

I am not sure exactly how these tachos are assembled. Is it straightforward to remove the bezel and replace the seal?

They are not that easy to get apart and put back together.

You need a special set of pliers to open out the swaged on lip of the chrome bezel and a jig and a method of re-swaging the chrome bezel. It can be done in a lathe.
