Laubtec electronic ignition

Hi,

Has anyone from the forum had any experiance with the "Laubtec" electronic igntion for the single cylinder BMWs. If so, could you give some details of it's price and performance.

Hi Ben,
i am a owner of a BMW R27, build in 1964.
in August this year i bought an electronic ignition
by laubersheimer.
The first one i got seemed to be damaged.
However a few weeks later i got a new one.
Easy to built in, and it works fine.
The range for ignition-setting can be selected
by two jumpers, also 35 Grad (the value for an R27)
is possible.
The ignition works as well as the mecanical but
so the settings are rigt for a longer time.
And the electronic ignition is switching off when
the motor is without use for two minutes.
So you will never get an empty battery when you have forgotten to switch off your ignition.
At least the price is about 165€ for the kit.

Hi Ben,
I drive my R25/3 with the a.m. ignition for more than 1.000 km since 03.2003 - no problems up to now.
The delivery by Laubersheimer took some weeks, but to built in only 1 hour. If you want, I can send several pictures via eMail.

The discription sounds pretty good, but I've got no own experience how it works. Nevertheless: They've sold the ignition in ebay the other day, too. And the feedback was o.k.
