Hello,

For the people who participated in the Edersee 2006 meeting, I'm curious to know how many Km you traveled, how long it took and on what bike.
One day I'd like to do some kind of extended travel on my r25/3 and would like to hear of others and their journeys.

Regards
Ben

Heiko

Hi Ben,

i drove round about 700km without a problem.
On Thursday to Kruemel and on Friday we rode together to the Eder Lake and back home on sunday.

Hello Ben,

my tour was exactly 600 km and I had NO problems - everything went absolutely fine. Okay, top speed still missing 15 km/h but with the help of Heiko & Rütz we located the cause (->valves)

Greetings,
Karl

Hi Ben,

Mausejule and me drove 1100 km with our car (round trip from munich)
and carried the 2 bikes on  a trailer.
At lake Edersee we visitited the very old city "Fritzlar" with all the
warped houses --> 50 km round trip

On Saturday we joined the "fast riders group" and rode roughly 215 km

Hi Ben!

Up to now, the trip was about 550km in several steps.
160 km to north hesse (mostly 80km/h), where i parked the bike for two weeks,
80 km (mostly 70km/h) to lake edersee
200 km in the fast turtle group (mostly 65km/h)
80 km back to north hesse (mostly 85km/h)
the last 160km will be in the next two weeks... as I parked my R24 in north hesse.

losses were minimal, the horn bracket, a fastener for the main stand and two rear light bulbs were victims of "good vibrations".

Thanks guys,

It's nice to hear that one can still travel a fair distance on these old bikes, it's heartening to read that Heiko and Karl rode about 700Km to get to the event. I  would like to ride one day from Greece to Germany and possibly met up with some of you guys. Maybe next year Greece to Munich when they open the new BMW museum, the r25/3 back to it's father land :D
