The Metzeler Block C's look the part (which part number?), but I did a search through the rest of the forums and I have got the impression that they are trouble.

I think it was Rütz that said he was happy with the Michelin M45 (3.25x18).

Is this the right idea or has the Babel translator let me down ???

Metzeler and Michelin would be my best bet down here in Australia.

Thanks in advance, Dave.

Hi Dave,

you got it right.
I'm contented with my Michelin M45.
You may also use the Metzeler Me22. It's a question of taste.

The M45 is a little bit endurolike. So you may feel a (very) light rumble rolling at walking speed on a smooth surface.
And it has a higher Load Index (59 -> 245 kg).

The Me22 probably will roll smoother ("street only" ;D).   LI 52 (200 kg)

I'm feeling well and save in cures. .... until something is grinding at the Road  ;D

Please don't look at those very old tires (rubbermixture) like ME Block C !

Hi mek,

what a funny malfunktion of your keybord, that prevents you from pressing r + v in line !

Thanks for all...my heart wants the Block C's for the 1954 look but the brain (and your good advise) says go for the Michelins.

I've just noticed there is an importer for Heidenau all the way down here! I read elsewhere that some of you were running the K34 3.25-18 and liked them...only the equivalent 65 Euro each here.

So I can either:

Metzeler M22 (Thanks to mek, man they look nice).

or

Bonjour Michelin M45

or

Heidenau

mmm, spoilt for choice :)

Same tyre for front and rear?

Hi Dave,

me and Emm use the Heidenau for front and rear... it is really good.
