Hi

I am looking for the following;

1958 R26 speedometer
Bevel ratio 25/6
0-90 MPH
W = 1.6

Any condition considered.

Hi Brian
That's the same speedo as mine.
I have been in contact with oldtimer-tachos.de and he is able to change the speedo gearing to suit your final drive ratio if you give him a couple of measurements.
This would then allow you to use any speedo which might make it easier to source.

Bill has given me contact details for Gunther in Germany who will refurbish another KPH VDO unit for me.
I think it is the same company. :)
I sent it out to him yesterday and the budget price is about 180 euro.

That is a good refurbishment Brian and it is good value for the money considering the work that goes into refurbishing instruments which is something I used to do 50 years ago.

The oldtimers web page has some excellent examples of completed instruments such as the milled body in aluminium and the plastic body one as well. Repairing old diecast instruments can be very difficult especially when the diecast metal has corroded and expanded.

It is good to see that instrument repair skills are still alive and well in Europe
