Jollyjester,
how did you search for this item? Just go to google.de and look for IAMA 1936 (or: Internationale Automobil und Motorrad Ausstellung 1936) You will find immediately a couple of pictures of BMW group archives showing the BMW stand with a lot of folks in uniforms who I don't like.
E.g.: https://bmw-grouparchiv.de/research/detail/index.xhtml;jsessionid=f8d4ea3445fc85e5ad83bf63e107.0?id=793576
Regards
Thomas
PS: Just saw that you asked whether anybody has a photo of the IAMA 1936. Sorry that I can't help you in this matter!

Thank you for that. It is just because the 2nd & 3rd production  models on the R5, 1st series, 8002, 8003 , came to AFN Ltd, London Rd. Islewoth, Middlesex in late 1936 and were sold here.

AFN ( Archie Frazer Nash)Ltd, were the importers of BMW motorcycle mid 1935 - March 1963. I bought the last BMW they sold, an R50S.

Google Frazer Nash Cars.

8002 is in the BMW Museum now. 8003 I am following up, and some parts are still in existence.

218 BMW's were imported in the Pre War period.

My Father bought a new R5 ( 2nd series ) in 1938. I also bought one in 1966, very close in Vin Numbers to my Father's. Dads bike is gone, but the one I owned for 20 years is still going strong in the USA

I administer the Archive of all these and to post war 1950 - 60, British register BMW's only.

Robert
