BMW took 1st and 2nd spot in the opening TT Races last evening. Mr. Dunlop riding the Hawk Racing BMW won at a new record average speed of some 132. mph 212 KPH. over the 226 mile course

I understand he used 'power pistons' in his engine and a performance kit will be available for the R25 series. Those who buy them may need to look at the brakes!

There were some 20 BMW's in the 42 that finished 226 mile, 363 k. course.

If you have not been to the TT, find coverage on the internet. Or imagine setting out from your home, riding 37 miles in your area to return home, though towns, villages, countryside, over a mountain, all on public roads, without stopping, as fast as you can.

Just watching the highlights.

Dunlop is flying on his BMW, first rider under 17 min lap with a record lap speed over 133 mph.
Scary stuff.

Followed the Superbike and Sidecar1 races live via manx radio. Great stuff. Unfortunately the day was shadowed by two fatale accidents.
Two wrongs don't make it right, but three lefts do.

On Saturday Michael Dunlop made history in the RST Superbike TT Race with a lap of 16:58 - an average speed of 133.393mph - on his Hawk Racing BMW S 1000 RR.

Two wrongs don't make it right, but three lefts do.
